Huntington's Inspections & Permits Division
in Room 100 of City Hall at 800 Fifth Avenue, issues building, electrical and plumbing permits and performs all three inspections. Its only published fee schedule is the IBC 2000 §108.2 valuation ladder, which prices total project cost (labour and materials) and adds a $20.00 application fee to every permit. The ladder charges nothing to $499, a flat $20.00 to $1,100, then rises in printed bands: $32.50 plus $6.00 per $1,000 to $25,000, $4.50 per $1,000 to $44,000, four printed bands to $50,000, $283.00 plus $3.00 per $1,000 to $100,000, and $433.00 plus $2.50 per $1,000 and each part thereof above that. A $60,000 project pays $333.00 in all.

What is specific to Huntington
Huntington is the seat of Cabell County on the Ohio River, and the division that permits it is small enough to publish one schedule for everything it does: its page names three inspectors — building, electrical and plumbing — and its fee document says the schedule covers 'each plan examination, building permit, and inspection'. That single instrument has been in place long enough that it still cites the International Building Code 2000's §108.2 even though the City now enforces the 2018 IBC.
The practical consequence is that electrical and plumbing work is priced on the same project-cost ladder as the building permit, because the division publishes no trade-specific table. The pages say so, and a reader who needs a figure the division quotes at the counter can call it.
